Kate Middleton adds special new detail to carol service ahead of broadcast

Kate Middleton has prepared a heartfelt surprise for the public, with her much-anticipated carol service set to be broadcast soon.

The Princess of Wales, who hosted her fourth annual Together at Christmas concert earlier this month, recorded a special message for the TV airing of the event.

"Christmas is one of my favorite times of the year. It’s a season of gifts, tinsel, and mince pies, but it’s also an opportunity to slow down and reflect on the deeper connections that unite us all," she says in the opening voiceover.

Focusing on themes of empathy, love, and kindness, Kate encourages viewers to embrace the “Christmas spirit” by stepping away from the “pressures of daily life” and finding moments to live with an open heart, filled with love, kindness, and forgiveness.

The future queen further highlights the importance of reflecting on "our own vulnerabilities" and emphasizes the value of giving and receiving empathy. She reminds us of how much we rely on one another, despite our differences.

“Love is the greatest gift we can receive, not just at Christmas but throughout our lives,” she concludes.

This year’s service held special significance for Kate and her family, as it came just months after her recovery from a cancer diagnosis earlier in the year. The Princess completed her treatment three months before the event.

Kate’s full message will be unveiled on Christmas Eve, coinciding with the royal family’s traditional celebrations at Sandringham Castle
